Posted 25 days ago I went to an interview a couple of days ago for an online marketing company and they asked me if you have a football player in front of a computer what will you do to show this person an add related to football, how would you know that that person has an interest in football? and he also said it was kind of a technical question. What will you respond? Thxs!

Posted 23 days ago First off why did they ask such an off the wall question? Were they off their meds? If you had a football player in front of the computer, then you already know he is a football player and I don't see any technical reasoning behind it.

Posted 22 days ago Think about it for a minute... They are an online marketing company. You don't know that a football player is in front of a computer. They want you to assume that football player is at a computer surfing the web. The question is how would you get this football players attention with an ad related to football. Possible answers could have been: 2. The technical aspect would be to capture the "event(s)" related to the users browsing activity and use that data "intelligently" to target your online marketing material. Ex: If the user clicks on a link to a parenting website for toddlers, guess what, here's an opportunity to display an ad for say "Babies R Us" Hope this helps!

Posted 22 days ago I am sorry, but this question from the potential employer is off the wall. I would not even think of being part of this company.
