Posted 3 months ago No Fair! Cmartin. You have to qualify or quantify that. Shrinks have to give us the mumbo jumbo as to why... Come on, give up the info.........I'm waiting

Posted 3 months ago The user's because they don't know anything and management because they think they know everything.

Posted 3 months ago Let us not forget the smoke. You all know the smoke theory right? All those little black 'things' inside the computer actually work on smoke. If you don't believe me, just watch what happens if the smoke ever gets out. Lending credence to the "smoke and mirrors" theory, right?

Posted 3 months ago Speaking of smoke - Actually I did have a monitor catch fire and smoke filled the workcenter. I had to prevent the User from pouring their water on it to stop the fire! I've also had a monitor implode once - Not a pretty site, I had to have pieces of it removed from my skin, it burns!

Posted 3 months ago I come from a day when clean 'mouse balls' was a daily ritual.

Posted 3 months ago I'm pre Mice. I didn't want anything to do with them, I still prefer the command line.

Posted 3 months ago You know, I'm pretty much that way as well. I prefer to type in commands rather than "HOPE" that some programmer made the right choice(s). Of course, I suppose even then, one does go through the command interpreter. By the way, I'm waiting for my copy of Win7 and still have hope that they've left a commandline window in there (somewhere). There are still things that are simpler to accomplish via the commandline. Just today I reset some file attrib(ute)s on a folder using the commandline. There's just something about having to reach for the mouse, then find the right menu, then....

Posted 3 months ago Oh, another thing I prefer is the quick keys. Like Ctrl-S for save. Thus, again, avoiding that "reach" for the mouse.

Posted 3 months ago I modified my mouse, it now has eyes and ears, since its wireless and has no tail I don't think its a mouse anymore. I think the mouse has officially been replaced by a gerbil.

Posted 3 months ago I use the quick keys as well, and I programmed more into my keyboard, if you were to time the difference of a mouse user to a keyboard user it would be significant. It is a huge timesaver; which me there is more time to do other things.........play games, surf, go fishing.redo your ITunes playlist.

I need to go to the beverage center..hic..in the meantime......Excuse me.
but the new OS's are removing alot of the capabilities.
