Back in the early 1990's, I was working the external customer help desk for a tech company and I took a phone call from a user who stated that he could not install Peach Tree Accounting software onto his Windows 3.1 computer.  After the standard question/answer session (do you have anti-virus software?  are you trying to install it to a network drive that you don't have access to?  Etc.), he tells me, "I get to disk #3, but it just won't fit."  My response was, "What do you mean, 'it just won't fit?!'"

He proceeds to tell me that he was able to get diskettes #1 and #2 into the floppy drive, but #3 "just won't fit."  Turns out he put in disk #1, got the install started; then when the computer asked for disk #2, he tried to put it in the drive WITHOUT REMOVING DISK #1.  He told me that #2 didn't fit at first either, but that he was able to "force it into the drive by holding it up to the drive bay and smacking it with the palm of his hand."

When he did this, he actually got disk #2 to seat under disk #1, which ripped disk #1 right off the spindle.  He continued the installation, with his floppy drive grinding and whining the entire time, but when it asked for disk #3, he couldn't get that in, "no matter how hard he smacked it."

I had to have him package the entire computer up and send it back to us so we could replace the floppy drive AND his copy of Peach Tree.  There was NO way I was trusting him to take the case off to take out his own floppy drive...

ROFLMAO!  MKelly this is as bad as the guy who calls tech support to report his "cup holder" is broken (CDROM tray). Gods I love stories about stupid-user-tricks! The sad thing is, they aren't getting any smarter. I still run into users who don't know the difference between the power button and the Start button. sigh!
