i'm trying to verify if the motherboard is bad or the video card (which is separate), when the computer POST's it's got characters all over the screen and when it does load into xp it will blue screen after about a minute or so and comes up saying "device driver got stuck in infinite loop...."blah blah blah lol, so all i'm getting out of that is there is a driver issue with something possible the video card in windows itself, however that still doesn't explain why the screen is all screwed up with unreadable characters during POST.  now i ran a scan with PC Doctor 6 and it came up saying the VGA adapter failed epicly but it could still be the board itself if the slot is shot.

In anycase i'm looking for a site whether it be microsoft or someother site that has an XP media center DOS boot disk (somehow that just doesn't sound right)

any help is appreciated,

Thanks

Why not a boot cd with Ultimate Boot or some other utility that'll allow diagnostics to be run??

it was the video card in the end, as far as diagnostics we do have ultimate boot as well as an ubuntu boot disk, but for most of our diagnostics we just run PC Doctor 6
