Posted 4 months ago Here's one for you - How many have noticed that even though in the background we all know the effects are CGI, it doesn't LOOK like it is while you are watching the film? that is to say, How many have noticed that it looks like it was done naturally? Prime examples: The Time Machine, Spider Man, Daredevil, Transformers 1 & 2, the Star Wars films, and so on |

| Posted 4 months ago CGI is so advanced at this point that it is hard to tell whether it is virtual or actual. I have noticed that film makers are using CGI to cut movie budgets. I can't remember the name of the movie but there was one scene involving a helicopter and a helicopter crash. The entire movie was actual except for this one scene. Instead of paying for helicopters, pilots, demolitions, etc., they just used CGI to dub in the scene and save all that money. I've noticed CGI used this way in other films as well. Some movies are done entirely in CGI while others are using CGI for special effects and still others are using CGI to cut costs. CGI is the wave of the future. Anything, and I mean anything that a creative mind can imagine, can be done with CGI. There is no limit to how CGI can be used to enhance movies, advertising and TV. Unleash Your Mustang Side! |

| Posted about 1 month ago CGI is going to bring a lot of films to the big screen that just wouldn't translate well using live action filming. Don't be surprised if many of the iconic comic book characters begin hitting theaters fully rendered using CGI. Especially with Disney purchasing Marvel, we can expect some very cool things for Marvel characters coming out of the Pixar camp. The future for CGI is definitely bright. D. White, A+, Net+
