Wow, did I have those picked wrong...  So, they're on their way back to the bakery and I've re-ordered a Large peanut butter cake and three honey buns.

how'd the cake go?

Mmmmm it was great! I made a halloween cake with orange colored icing and black and orange sprinkles and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm *drools*

Oh, and Mitch, I don't want honey buns, I want a honey bun cake! Haven't you ever had one?  It's always requested when I'm bringing a dessert to an event of some sort.  It takes about a million ingredients and forever to make, but is probably one of the best cakes ever and well worth my efforts.  :)

Sorry Paula,  I don't believe that I've ever had to opportunity to enjoy a Honey Bun Cake.

So, spill it...  what are the ingredients  (at least the main ones) give us a taste of this Paula-Specialty.  I'm not much of a cook, though I do enjoy time in front of the stove/oven from time to time.  I enjoy dabbling and make a Killer Steak at BBQs but I've just never followed up to get any good at it.

Honey bun cake includes (but is not limited to) butter cake mix with double the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, sour cream (sounds gross, I know, but it gives the cake a great taste), poured and layered with more cinnamon and brown sugar and swirled with a fork, with a homemade glaze made from milk, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar

Baked to perfection, REALLY moist, and unbelievably delicious.

Wow, that sounds incredible... well, except for how fatening it sounds...

Hey, us older gentlemen have to watch our weight... we aren't quite as active as we used to be.

the perfect Icon to go with your temptations... I would undoubtedly take a slice, especially at a party/celebration.  Then I would worry about it later (figure out something to use up  the extra calories).  Procrastination at its peak...  ;)

Naw, Beth, the quickest way to a man's heart is through his ribcage.

Much love,

Paula

Actually, the heart resides in the center behind the Sternum, slightly tipped so that the Ventricles are to the person's left side a bit.  So, the quickest way to a man's heart is through the intercostal cartilage, just to the left of the Sternum  (technically anyway)

was I that transparent?  Actually, I've been helping teach lately (EMT courses), so I guess it was just there, on the tip of my tongue, so to speak.

Naw, I'd use a chainsaw and go right through the sternum. Is that what you were thinking of, Paula? Or a Glock point blank to the sternum? ( Watch out for that blood spray! )

Nah... all that noise.  A qood quick, hard open palm thrust to the sternum is usually enough to cause at very lease a hesitation/skipped beat or three.

Geez, I'd still want the guy alive. Hard to roll around in the sack when their chest is ripped open and blood spurting everywhere.

Make the open-handed thrust just a tad less powerful.  He'll miss a beat or two, but will get the point and still be good for a romp in the hay.

As my wife would say, it'll keep him in his place...
