It will take more than a lone drag queen on the thread to freak me out. Just a few months ago I was surrounded by 1000's of drag queens, regular queens, bull dykes and lipstick lesbians too hehe.. My sister is gay and I go to PrideFest with her every year in June to show my support. It's a lot of fun too. Great music and a lot of cool events at historical Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham.

A lesbian sister... you have my sympathies, Barry. So tell me, did you start going to PrideFest because you love and support her - or did she beat the crap out of you until you submitted to her will. As a man afflicted with 2 siblings of the female species, my money's on the latter.

OMG! Just kidding! I've taken one of my sisters and my brother with me to Pride on several occasions. Unfortunately we live all over the Midwest, so it can't be a regular event for us. Kudos and a HUGE amount of respect to you for standing beside your Sis'!

Bama: No woman likes to be treated like crap.  A lot of a time, that's all the girl knows, so she comes to expect that from every guy she dates, until eventually she meets a man who treats her like a queen.  Then, she doesn't know how to react to this new kind of treatment, because it's a different territory from what she's used to and it takes her out of her comfort zone, so she gets scared and backs out of it and goes back to guys who treat her horribly.  It's just another part of conditioning.  I've been there.  Don't get discouraged!

Kooskai, it isn't a question of what you can or cannot do.  I could shout through someones open window that their Mother's a crack whore and their Dad fucks donkeys.  The fact that I can doesn't mean I'm right to.  You entered a light hearted thread and set upon someone in what seemed a very negative, abusive and personal way.  Maybe it wasn't your intention and as you later said "We are all just cutting up and having fun", but it didn't come across that way to the people here who are more used to a more genteel form of rough housing.  Now you can go on aiming to be the most unpopular person on this thread but I doubt you're going to have any fun and we sure aren't.  Plus you may find future threads are invitation only.  And we don't actually have to get used to it because members can have their access withdrawn if they are thought to be abusing other members.  It may be something to keep in mind.

So I would suggest everyone just came down and kiss and make up, but no tongues, and lets keep the rough housing for the anger management threads and put all this down to an escalation of misunderstanding.

If you aren't here on this thread to have fun then don't post here, post on the other threads that are informative! There are many threads here an different groups that are for networking, some of them are for fun and others are for learning, helping others with tech issues or other things. This thread is for fun so GET A SENSE OF HUMOR!
