My favorite relationship is my current relationship. I have had only one other that was even close, but it was very brief. My current relationship is full of happiness, laughter, understanding, and a connection I never thought was possible. I would never have thought I could find a man that held the same ideals and interests as I do. We mesh in every sense of the word. I can talk to him about anything without fear or retribution. I can be myself and not dumb myself down. I feel complete. What more could a gal ask for?

Definitely, my current 21 year marriage is the best.  You know you're compabible when you can give your honey a pair of wading boots for her birthday (we were planning on doing some clamming the next week) and she really loved them.  My wife is my best friend.  She's not vain and loves the basic stuff in live:  her home, her garden, and me.  What more could a guy ask for?  (And I do give her jewelry occasionally too, in case anyone was wondering. LOL)

My husband and I have been married for 30+ years.  We are oposites, and make a great team: I am book-learning while he is common-sense.  While it sounds like a corny ad for a match-making company, we share most of the same interests.  Most of all,  he's my best friend.  Our marriage just "comes together."  I don't think we have laid out a plan to make our marriage work; it just works.

Enabler, Wyoming_Knott, congratulations on your lasting relationships. As you have both pointed out, you are best friends with your mate, as mine is for me. Having common interests, but being able to do things differently, is a great combination.

I like this one.  I think I'll keep him.  lol

It's nice to have a guy who treats me like a queen and does everything in his power to make sure I'm happy.  It's the first time I've ever dated a guy who actually respects and truly loves me.  He keeps me laughing, comforts me in my time of need, stands by me no matter what, shares the load, and cooks a hell of a bbq chicken.  <3  If only he'd let me have a dog... I feel a question coming on...

Keep the faith, brother.  There's a women with your name on her.  Wait...  that doesn't sound right.  I think I mean to say, there's a woman who's just right for you out there somewhere.

Now, go party!  And give yourself some time.

LOL Some women do far more damage than any bullet

I wouldn't worry, I'm the eternal optimist.  The glass isn't only half full but its an hour to closing time and its someone elses round next.

My best realtionship is my present one. And believe me Nuclear, my last realtionship made me felt like a hole in the head. So while you may be right about women and bullets, its also good to mention that when you meet the right woman, the past will be more than compensated for.

Happy searching brother.

Not searching, this time I'll wait for love to find me.  As a Mr Collins once said "You can't hurry love" ;)

And Mr. Collins was a bachelor, right?

Actually, I agree.  Take it slow searching for true love.  But that doesn't mean you can't try a bit harder to find transitory love in all the wrong places.  A guy's got to have some fun.

Oh and don't worry I intend to have a lot of fun looking for Ms Right and it may include some osculatory action and more with a few Ms Wrongs.

I'd have to say that Mr. Collins had the right attitude.  Go forth and osculate.  (By the way - a small point - don't you think the ladies would rather kiss?  I don't know about this osculating.  It could be offputting.)

Come to think of it, my best relationships with the opposite sex are with my sisters and my Mom! With Mom being the best. For a number of reasons, first and foremost being that they have known me all my life. Another being that they still love me no matter what I do. And I've done a lot of stuff! They are always there for me, I can call them anytime to talk and get things off my chest or just for a few laughs. I've been blessed with two great sisters and a great Mom. I'm grateful and thankful that I have them in my life and love them dearly. Gotta go now, I have a few calls to make...

My best male relationships are with my son and my dad. My son is the the best thing to come out of my first marriage. He's the sweetest kid, laughs at my jokes and can recite all the words to The Holy Grail. What's not to love. My dad is my hero. He is an amazing person and am very grateful he's helped me through my last marriage and divorce. I hope to find a relationship someday with a person just as great as he is.

Yea, all my relationships have been really bad except for my own family. Guess I'll end being the old maid living with her cat and her children.

You are far from being an old maid, you're freaking gorgeous, girlfriend! Just pick up the pieces and move on. Life doesn't stop because you're not in a relationship. You found love before and you CAN find it again. What you have learned from your past relationships will go into making a new relationship better. Stiff upper lip, pip, pip, cheerio and all that rot!

Thank you Barry. Made my day.   Yes, I have picked up the pieces and am turning my life around. Love may be right around the corner. I just have to look.
