Posted 8 months ago Street Fighter-The Legend of Chun-Li AWESOME!!! Well choreographed fight sequnces highlight this first of probably many sequels. Michael Duncan and Ray Liotta stepped up the acting but the secondary actors sucked. I'm speaking of Chris Klein and Moon Bloodgood, fortunately, they do not get much face time. Newcomer Kristen Kreuk is just precious as Chun-Li but watch out for those lightning fast kicks. Lots of action and the ending is left wide open for a sequel. Definately a MUST SEE. | Posted 8 months ago Watchmen Awesomely awesome! There's something for everyone in this 2 hour and 43 minute movie. I was glad is was a long movie because I didn't want it to end. It's pretty hard to come up with new comic book heroes because everything has already been done. Watchmen pulls it off with ease. The CGI was spectacular and controversial. One male CGI character had full frontal nudity. What's up with that? It wasn't really neccessary but they did it anyway, I guess because they could. So, does this set a precedent for future CGI? Film at 11:00. Watchmen was a very entertaining film and one of the few that I would actually see again because there was so much going on. MustangBarry rates this as a MUST SEE. | Posted 7 months ago Monsters vs. Aliens Realistic 3D animation is the highlight of this movie. Beowulf and Animatrix are still the ones to beat though. The opening scene of a cheeseburger looked so real, I thought I was in the wrong movie. Reese Witherspoon voices the main character who was struck bt a meteor and is now 50 feet tall and very strong. The moral of the movie is to stick with your friends and ignore your differences. There are some funny parts that I giggled at but kids would love this movie. The other oddball characters will make them laugh, especially the blue blob named Bob. However, NOT A MUST SEE for adults. Mustangbarry at the movies

| Posted 7 months ago Fast and Furious This movie series is becoming more like the Challenger that never dies movie. I'll explain later. Vin Diesel is back as Dom Toretto which is the only thing that could make this movie work after Tokyo Drift. The movie starts right off with a truck hijacking that glues you to your seat. All of the crash scenes are with CGI and man are they spectacular! When someone close to Dom gets murdered, Dom gets pissed. ( I love it when he gets pissed! ) The racing scenes, the cars and the girls are eye candy that you don't want to miss. Oh yeah, the Challenger. Remember it rolled several times in the first movie and was completely demolished? Well, someone restored it because it's back in this movie. Then guess what? Dom totals it again but then at the end of the movie, it's back again! Unbelievable! The Challenger that never dies. Other than that minor detail, the movie was great for gearheads. Definately, A MUST SEE. MustangBarry at the movies Unleash Your Mustang Side! |

| Posted 7 months ago Wolverine Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Wolverine in this first installment of X Men origins. We learn about him as a young boy, we learn about his brother Victor who has similar powers, we see how Logans girlfriend dies and how he lost his memory. All the things that were mentioned but never explained come to life during this sequel. The CGI is awesome as expected with each scene being meticulously choreographed. I viewed a rough draft of the movie where some of the CGI was not finished yet. This movie was so good that I will go see it at the theater when it opens next week. Definately a MUST SEE. | Posted 7 months ago Knowing Nicolas Cage stars as a MIT professor that comes across a cryptic message in a time capsule. On closer inspection, he finds that the numbers represent disaster dates. I thought this was going to be another "Next" but it was so much more! You cannot figure out what the significance of the black pebbles is or who the whispering people are but it all comes to a grand climax at the end. The ending is awesome with spectacular CGI. Don't forget to rent "Knowing" when it comes out. Very good movie but NOT A MUST SEE. MustangBarry at the Movies out Unleash Your Mustang Side! |

| Posted 6 months ago Star Trek AWESOME!!! Better than Wolverine! If you have been a Star Trek fan for as long as I have, then you won't be disappointed by the new crew of the Starship Enterprise. The guy playing Spock is a deadringer for Leonard Nimoy who is the only original cast member in the movie. Lots of action, spaceship battles and monsters, just what you want from a Sci-Fi. Young James T. Kirk, Young Bones (played by Carl Urban from Riddick Chronicles), Uhura (sp), Sulu, Scotty and Chekov are all played very well by the new people who you can bet will have many more sequels. The Star Trek franchise will never die. It's been making megamoney for 30 years, and so, it continues. BTW, in the middle of the movie, we had a fire alarm. It turned out to be false so we went into another theater that started later so we wouldn't miss anything. The manager gave everyone a free movie ticket for the inconvenience WOO HOO! Definately a MUST SEE. MustanBarry at the Movies out Unleash Your Mustang Side! |

| Posted 6 months ago Angels and Demons The only redeeming value for this flick is that Tom Hanks stars and Ron Howard directs. Wasn't very suspenseful and was quite predictable. The worst part was that there weren't any angels or demons in it! I mean, c'mon, that's the title! It's more of a history lesson on the Illuminati. Buy the book, I hear it's very good. NOT A MUST SEE. Save your money and go see Terminator:Salvation this weekend. It's gonna be good! MustangBarry at the Movies out Unleash Your Mustang Side! |

| Posted 6 months ago Terminator:Salvation AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME Did I mention it was awesome? Terminator 600, 800 and something new, big machines, flying machines and robo motorcycles WOW! And best of all, it doesn't end with this movie which means MORE TERMINATOR. This movie finally takes place in the future, 2018, when the machines have taken over the world and only small pockets of human resistence are left. However, John Connor has found a secret weapon to bring down the machines and blow up Skynet. Action packed from beginning to end, this is definately a MUST SEE. | Posted 5 months ago Drag Me To Hell A whole lot of CGI going on here. Lots of special effects and according to the website a lot of money was spent on these effects. However, I didn't really see anything out of the ordinary. Nothing creatively new. I actually laughed out loud at one special effect when an eye appears in a slice of cake and starts looking around. I thought it looked really funny and laughed. Then the person stabs the eye with a fork and blood and pus ooze out. I thought that was pretty funny too so once again I laughed out loud. Of course, I was the only one in the theater laughing but what the hell? The ending was good but wait for the rental, definately NOT A MUST SEE. | Posted 5 months ago Land of the Lost Well, CGI has certainly come a long way since this TV showed aired in the 1970's. Back then, special effects were really cheesy but we didn't care, we just wanted to see the dinosaurs! Will Ferrell just doesn't do it for me. It just seemed like he was copying Steve Martin. There were a few giggles but no LOL. The T-Rex was the main attraction, that was done brilliantly. Anna Friel was pleasing to look at but won't get an award for Best Supporting Actress. It was a nice try but just didn't quite get there. Wait for the rental. NOT A MUST SEE! MustangBarry at the Movies out Unleash Your Mustang Side! |

| Posted 5 months ago Hangover OMG the funniest movie I've seen this year! The characters have a bachelor party in Vegas and the next morning can't remember anything that happened. The movie goes through the process of them finding clues as to what happened that night. And they lost one of their buddies that night. Oh man, did they have a wild and crazy time. The end is the best part when they show photographs of that night. Talk about LMAO! If you need a good laugh, then this movie is definatly A MUST SEE! | Posted 5 months ago Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! Best movie of the year so far! Twice as good as the original. Two and a half hours of battling robots, who could ask for more? Talk about CGI at its best. The aircraft carrier sinking topped the Titanic sinking! There were a lot of funny parts, too. The comedy in the film had the whole audience busting up. Megan Fox is America's newest heart throb. This movie is going to win big at The People's Choice Awards. See this movie on Imax, if you can. Definately a MUST MUST SEE! MustangBarry at the Movies Unleash Your Mustang Side! |

| Posted 4 months ago Public Enemy Johnny Depp stars as famous bank robber John Dillinger in this period piece from the thirties. Is there anything this guy can't do? Johnny Depp does an outstanding performance, as usual. Pretty Boy Floyd and Babyface Nelson are also featured in this movie along with Frank Nitty. Christian Bale stars as G man Melvin Purvis. Plenty of guns blazing, as well as, the love story of Dillinger's girlfriend, Billie. There is some serious contention for an Oscar here. Definately a MUST SEE! MustangBarry at the Movies out

| Posted 4 months ago Up (in 3D) This is an amazing emotional and satisfying animated movie, but it becomes unbelievable with seen in 3D. I've seen the red/green filter and early vertical/horizontal polarization 3D techniques, but nothing compares to the 3D technique of this movie. I represents a new genre of movies. No longer do 3D movies have to seem cheezy. Up is a bit weepy at the beginning and the story is at its core unbelievable - a house held aloft by balloons travels to South America, but in the whole, it is a very good movie. There is a believable and empathetic protaganist. There is the silly sidekick. There is a bad guy to conquer. There are strange beasts. And there is the incredible animation that only Pixar can do. And don't forget the 3D that has to be seen to be believed. Enabler at the Movies out. |

| Posted 4 months ago UP I enjoyed this movie as well. Animation has come a long way since the original Mickey Mouse. Animation has become so lifelike that you have to do a double take to inspect whether it's actual or virtual. The first time this happened to me was the animated short called "Animatrix" just before one of the Matrix series movies. It took me a while to figure out it was actually animation and not real. The graphics were so believable that at first I thought it was live action! Since then, this same animation technique was used in the movie "Beowolf". I can't wait to see improvements on this technique because this will enhance the CGI already used in movies. What I'm trying to say is that between CGI and this new animation technique (computer generated as well) there is a new dawn unfolding in cinema. High budget movies will cease to exist as CGI reigns supreme in the entertainment industry. Why pay Tom Cruise 20 million dollars to be in a movie when you can create a hero with CGI to do more than he can and look better doing it? Why pay for two cruise ships to collide when you can just use CGI to cut the cost. I think I'm on to something here...stay with me...this new technique that I'm speaking of is actually several subprograms running simultaneously. There is a program that makes hair move with the body, there is a program to add skin imperfections to the character, there is a walking program, a talking program and a blinking program. All these programs run together seamlessly. As this technique advances we will be getting closer and closer to virtual reality, folks! Isn't that exciting! Now movies will no longer be hampered by cost overruns, as a matter of fact, they will be able to cut their costs and drastically improve their profit margin on ticket sales. Woo Hoo! That means more fantastic movies and more movies from independent film producers. And, of course, more fun for moviegoers. This movie was good and kids will enjoy it but NOT A MUST SEE. | Posted 4 months ago Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs Awesome animation! 3D animation makes the characters come alive. The fur program was awesome, it looked like a live action puppet movie rather than CGI. The fur was so real it looked like you could pet it. The water program was fantastic. In this third installment of the series, Manny and Elle have a baby but not before Sid gets kidnapped by a dinosaur and they have to go and rescue him. They also meet newcomer Buck, a crazy Aussie weasel that guides them through dinosaur land. Also, the squirrel-like character that is always chasing an acorn, gets a love interest when he meets a female squirrel-like creature. Good heart-warming plot about friends sticking together no matter what. State of the art animation at its best. MUST SEE! MustangBarry at the Movies out Unleash Your Mustang Side! |

| Posted 3 months ago G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra Awesome action with CGI galore. Action from beginning to end. Did I mention there's plenty of action? This movie ties or beats Transformers for action. All kinds of new weapons like a pulse cannon, jets that land like an Osprey, one man attack subs called Sharks, the Black Raven and the best weapon is a fully armored suit that greatly enhances your movement. The action sequence when Duke (Channing Tatum ) and Ripcord ( Marlon Wayans ) wear these suits is worth the cost of admission right there but there is so much more. Nanomites, microscopic robotic bugs that eat metal. Watch them eat the Eiffel Tower in France! They cover a lot of ground in this 2 hour movie going back to some of the history of the main players like Snake Eyes and Duke. Brendon Frazier even has a bit part. Sienna Miller looks awesome as the bad girl. Newcomer Rachel Nichols is stunning as Scarlett. This movie was a whole lotta fun, definately a MUST SEE! | Posted 3 months ago District 9 I have mixed emotions about this one. I liked it but my buddy didn't. Later, we met two other guys that saw the movie and one of them liked and the other didn't. So, I guess you could say that 50% of the audience liked it and the other 50% didn't. First of all, it was a South African made movie that was done in a real world news fashion. It was done like a documentary depicting the events that unfolded when the aliens rebelled against human aggression. That was ok with me but apparently it wasn't everybody's cup of tea. I thought the aliens were well thought out. The 3d CGI of the aliens was awesome. They look like bipedal cockroaches. The alien firearms are devastating. Paula would love these guns. They fire some kind of lightning bolt that explodes a human into a big splat of blood. There are no stars in this movie because everyone is from South Africa. Either you like it or you don't so I have to rate it NOT A MUST SEE. MustangBarry at the Movies Unleash Your Mustang Side! |

| Posted 3 months ago Orphan - Planning to adopt? You might want to think twice! The star of this film is one twisted little girl, played by a 12 year old American actress who shows great potential. This film was nerve-wracking, suspenseful, and thought-provoking. You don't know what to expect, but you keep your eyes glued to the screen in anticipation. Excellent acting! It has one of those unexpected endings that will leave you Googling the heck out of the movie when you get home! I give it 4 out of five stars. The Unborn - Watched this one at my dad's this weekend. Now, I am a huge horror film fanatic, and have grown immune to most of the average shocks and scares of horror films these days. Well, that was until this film. It had a few of the "I see this one coming a mile away" scares, but in some scenes I was truly disturbed. This film is about a woman who finds out she had a twin brother "Jumby" that died in the womb. Now, "Jumby" is ready to be born... In a couple scenes I was trully horrified. The movie was great, so creepy, and definitely disturbing. 4.5 stars! "And so, the lion fell in love with the lamb..." |

| Posted 3 months ago Inglorious Basterds Quentin Tarantino does it again with this WWII film about a small group of Americans that go nazi killing behind enemy lines. Lots of killing AND humor. Brad Pitt does an excellent job as their leader. His redneck accent is funny as hell especially when he's trying to speak a foreign language. Do not expect this story to be historically accurate, it's not, but, hey, Quentin can do that because it's his movie, alright? If you're a QT fan, then this is definately a MUST SEE! | Posted 2 months ago Final Destination 4 in 3D More of the same as the other two movies but in 3D. Of course, my movie theater didn't have a 3D projector, FML. Still, I liked the way they choreographed the death scenes. Each accidental death had its own set of clues as to how the victim would die. However, they threw in some bogus clues to keep the audience off balance so you never knew when it was coming. That was fun! Some pretty gory deaths here so if you're squeemish about blood and guts, then this movie is not for you. I liked Shantel VanSanten who played Lori, she was really pretty. If you are a Final Destination fan, then this is a MUST SEE! MustangBarry at the Movies Unleash Your Mustang Side! |
