This is an amazing 2.1 speaker system. The sound is phenominal, and with the 8" subwoofer can be thunderous. Cranked up as loud as I can stand I hear no distortion from any of the speakers. I use if for listening to music and gaming sound affects.
The volume control unit, with on/off switch, separate volume control for base and a speaker jack, is well designed and can be conveniently placed immediately below my monitor for easy access.
The speakers are THX certified. I high recommed this system and consider it a great value for the price.
