This is an amazing simulation of naval combat during the first world war. Every ship from destroyers to battle ships are included. The game can be played at the strategic level, but the real fun is when fleets collide and the 15" shells start flying about.

First, the graphics are impeccable; each ship is correctly rendered in every detail. Even the motion of the sea, the way it breaks at the bows of the ships and in their wakes, and the battle damage is perfect. Secondly, the motion is real time and one has to think quickly to stay on top of individual ships or squadrons to not be outsmarted by the AI. (The game can also be played against a live opponent.) Lastly, the physics of the projectiles is for the first time accurately modelled so that trajectories are accurate including the uncertainties caused by the motions of the ships. You can even see the shells fly through the air and hear them pass depending upon your vantage, which is realistic due to the relatively low muzzle velocities of the large guns of time.

For naval combat fans, this is a must have.
