Microsoft cured the update issue my making the hardware capable of being updated so that updates don't leave users of previous models out in the cold like Apple does. Has the best sound in headphones, has the best online marketplace. Has customizable background, FM radio with buy over the air feature, can sync to PC via WiFi. Free engraving service when purchased from MS online. Has an open arctecture where anyone can download the developers suite and build any application or game they are capable of. Has an online social, market place and support community second to none. And the reviews keep getting better.

I have had my Zune take a couple falls and come up working fine. The playlist for now playing makes a nice way to have good random music if you have a lot of music instead of listening to albums one at a time.

I've had my Zune for almost a year now, and with each firmware upgrade it gets better, more capable, and more reliable. It has a very intuitive interface and is very rugged. It has all the features I'll ever need (until the next one, of course). Picutres and video look great and it's easy to synch and build playlists. Battery life is good (about 20 hours playing music non-stop). I showed mine to a friend who owned an iPod and I think he's considering switching.
