Since it's first version, the switch from IE 6 was the easier thing ever. With tabbed browsing and popup blocking IE was way behind. As yeas went by, I was falling in love with Firefox. It's ability to allow an extension to be installed, you can customize the browser to your own need. Extensions like Firebug, Web Developer Toolbar, NoScript, IE Tab (for the purist :)), and many many more from programming tools, FTPs, uploaders, downloaders that will make your life easier in every aspect. Version 3 it's even faster, more secure and with tons of new features. It was release on June 17,2008. among the new features are the new password manager, One Click bookmarking, Smart Locations Bar among others. One of things that I liked from the very beginning of Firefox, was its compliance with the CSS standard. I designed for firefox and then use some hacks to make the website work with IE :). And it's more secure also...
It's a must have for every web developer and everyone who cares about web freedom and security- Flag as inappropriate

Firefox3 is so much simpler and less hassle than Internet Explorer and it has much more features. I'd much rather see Firefox3 be the standard than Internet Explorer as the add-ons for Firefox3 are awesome.

I absolutely love this browser! I have this installed on all machines I use, school and otherwise. I even have the portable version available at PortableApps.com saved on my flash drive so that I can use it no matter where I'm at!

I first learned about Firefox in college and when ver. 3 came out I am still in love with it. The tabbed browsing, firebug, and other extensions make Firefox a winner.

Heck, it's Firefox. What choice IS there? I have tried them all - Opera, Windows, Chrome, on and on. I always come back to the best of breed. I transfered all my settings to Linux when I ran away from Windows, and it is the same or better here.

I find this software more secure that IE and with the multiple tabs on the tool bar, keeping more than one site open at a time is a breeze.
