About Me
As a flight engineer on a Gulfstream G550 Corporate Jet, I maintain, play with, troubleshoot and repair its Ethernet 10base2 LAN network and 32-bit wide parallel backplane bus on ASCB-D with a 20Mb/sec throughput and 80Hz frame rate, a Digital Remote Image Bus (Fibre Channel Bus) with Advanced Graphics Modules, a Control Area Network Bi-directional High Speed Bus using smart servos for the Automatic Flight Control System, a Digital Audio multi-point serial synchronous Communications Network Bus, Satellite Direct TV, video and audio cabin systems, SatCom and Broadband Multi-link/VoIP networking. I love it, however I can't wait for the new Fibre Optic network systems on the next generation aircraft with Synthetic Vision Terrain Mapping.
