I have had a change in degree direction - switching from Network Security to Project Management (long story as to why). The PM degree is broad or basic - not focused on a specific area (e.g. PM in IT) thus allowing me to be able to float between industries if needed. My question is does this preclude me from being a member in InsideTech.com? I am still volunteering as IT Tech Support for the Red Cross and as the Web Master for a local car club. I would appreciate feedback on this please!

One way I have attempted to help keep things organized with online social cites (both personal and career related) is trying out the Flock web browser. Currently at v2.5, it is based off of Firefox but adds a bunch of social features to make things easier. Mainly geared toward personal social sites, they are open to adding other social type cites. Has anyone had experience with the Flock browser?

To get you up to date, my other "distraction" has been volunteering at my local Red Cross chapter as an IT Tech Support person. I put in 6-8 hours a week - sometimes less as it depends on what they have. There is a core IT staff and I come in when they need additional help. Thus far, I have solved three problems they were not able to resolve. Still looking for a job and am in the process of switching schools to ITT Technical Institute. They are local and will provide better support services than the online university I have been attending.

My apologies again for being away and not logging in. I got myself spread to thin and found it hard to keep up with all the online social/career accounts. I am attempting to weed it down to only a few - and this will be one of the winners. I am what could be termed as socially-challenged and I am slowly adapting to the fast paced cyber/social arena.
