Personal

About Me
I am a thirty-something computer geek living for the time being on the beautiful central coast of California. Having graduated from Cal Poly after returning to school from what I thought was my career job, I'm currently looking for work somewhere in the state. I have finished my Senior Project for the local county government (San Luis Obispo), and had a great experience doing that. It basically involved Nagios which is an open source network monitoring app, MySQL, CentOS, and lots of coding in ANSI C... All to produce a few lines of HTML automagically. It could have been done a lot more easily, but for security, forwards compatibility, and robustness I did it this way... Plus the easy way out is just not my style. If you want to know more about it, please message me.
Hobbies:
Building Computers, Non-criminal Hacking, xbox 360, Make, Instructables, Fark
Favorite Movies:
Dumb and Dumber, anything Peter Sellers, the old Star Wars, LOTR, Python
Favorite TV Shows:
LOST (though I've fallen out of touch), Sopranos, Mythbusters (when their results are valid), South Park, Daily Show
Favorite Music:
Old school punk, reggae/dub, beastie boys, SOAD, AFI, etc. etc. (anything except modern country).
