About Me
My intro in to the IT world began by taking classes in BASIC, FORTRAN and PL/I in college. I then got a job in the data processing dept of a major bank and earned a position as an IMS MTO. From there I worked as a Systems Help Desk Analyst, an IMS Systems Programmer, a DB2 for z/OS Systems Programmer/Administrator/DBA, an ORACLE DBA, and then a Websphere MQSeries for z/OS Systems Programmer. After a 2.5 year absence from IT, running a couple of my own businesses as a self employed sole proprietor, I'm now working as a contract DB2 for z/OS Systems Programmer-DBA for IBM. By the EOY 2008, I plan to be a certified DBA in DB2 (z/OS & LUW) and Systems Administrator (z/OS). Next year I will become a certified DBA on ORACLE 10g & 11g. After that, my plan is to acquire a working level knowledge of all the components of the LAMP open source software bundle. I have the following professional certifications; • IBM Certified Systems Administrator - DB2 9 for z/OS • IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2 9 DBA for LUW • IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2 9 for z/OS • IBM Certified Database Associate - DB2 9 Fundamentals • IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2 UDB V8.1 for LUW • IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2 UDB V8.1 for z/OS • IBM Certified Database Associate - DB2 UDB V8 Family • IBM Certified Solutions Expert - DB2 V7 for OS/390 DBA • IBM Certified Specialist - DB2 UDB V6/V7 User • IBM Certified Solutions Expert - MQSeries • IBM Certified Specialist - MQSeries • SAS Certified Base Programmer

    Thanks for the gift! I LOVE those new TVs!! I'm a poor college student right now so I can't get one but when that time comes that I get to buy myself a new TV I'm going with one of them, without a doubt. I'm a Samsung fan, too, so I'm very excited.
