I think you guys really don't get what you are attempting to communicate. The problem with what you call "you've gone go far" is that it is vague with no specifics.
I don't see how this person is telling lies or exaggerating when it is left unclear what the exact responsibilities were. What did they declare to have accomplished that they didn't actually perform or attain during their period of employment?...
