Nail the Salary Negotiation
Especially as you advance in your career, you’ll find that talented, reliable IT workers are in great demand. But despite this fact, many talented IT workers don’t take the opportunity to negotiate their salaries when changing jobs.
Seize that opportunity by arming yourself with data on what other people with your title and similar levels of experience are making. Visit the salary calculator on our Job Search page to get a good idea of the averages. Then adjust your sights based on the situation you’re getting into.
Check out Matthew Moran’s guide to Getting the Salary You Deserve, for more tips. If you stay creative, remain firm, and start the negotiation process early, you’re much more likely to end up with the salary you want then just the one the company is offering.

I would like if they have put what kind of knowledge and technologies the DBA should be aware of most? e.g Oracle, SAP, MY_sql, CISCo, MCSA ...etc
What experience usually required from the person before they hire him/her to be DBA?
